Seychelles is a more affordable destination than it seems
Accommodations in Seychelles should always be booked in advance, particularly during peak periods (Christmas to New Year and Easter) and high season (December to March and July to August).
Contrary to what we think, it is possible to find good deals in Seychelles. The Seychelles actually offers accommodation for any budget,
from large resorts and hotels to small, authentic guesthouses and self-catering villas, everything is possible. Besides that, yachts and catamarans
are also available as overnight accommodation for holidaymakers, allowing for a special experience on the water.
Large Resorts & Hotels
The choice here is vast. Top-end resorts often blend opulent bungalows into the natural setting. You can expect restaurants, bars, swimming pool and sometimes a spa.
In recent years, more and more major hotels and resorts have set up establishments in the Seychelles.
These include some of the largest chains in the world, such as Hilton, Constance or Kempinski.
The presence of these large resorts however does not cause the destination to lose its charm, as they are often hidden on slopes or built between palm trees,
so you can often never even see them. Discerning luxury travellers will, thanks to these resorts, find a trip to the Seychelles well worthwhile.
Some prominent examples of large hotels or resorts include the Kempinski Resort, The Contance Ephelia,
The Four Seasons or the Hilton Northolme Resort & Spa on Mahe, the Constance Lémuria on Praslin, or Le Domaine de l'Orangeraie on La Digue.
Private island resorts
If you want to combine escapism with luxury, the Seychelles offers a clutch of ultraexclusive hideaways that almost defy description.
They include Alphonse, Bird, Desroches, Félicité, Silhouette, North, Frégate and Denis Islands. This is where you are really buying into the dream.
They offer every modern convenience but still preserve that perfect tropical-island ambience
- the Robinson Crusoe factor - and feature an atmosphere of romance, rejuvenation and exotic sensuality.
Each private-island resort has its own personality and devotees.
